work trips, special events and announcements.
All are welcome to come on out on a hike to see what the club is all about.
A welcome sheet is handed out at every hike. This sheet has all you need to join and get on the mailing list.

COFFEE POT CORD IS MISSING The electric cord is missing that belongs to the coffee pot used at the last covered-dish dinner. Please check all crock pots that were at the dinner, and if you find the missing cord, please call Sarah

A.T. Museum is coming to Pine Grove Furnace State Park: The first and only museum about and for the A.T. will open June 5, 2010 (National Trails Day) in the Old Mill.

FEBRUARY 7 - CHILI HIKE & DINNER: Hike will be approximately 3-5 miles depending on weather conditions, and will begin at 10 AM from the JPJ cabin. Hike leader is Bob Falsetti. Dinner at 1:30 PM. Call (717) 854-3437 or e-mail Julie Falsetti (

before 9 P.M. Thursday, February 4, to make meal reservations. Meal cost will depend on Julie’s cost and can be paid at the cabin.
FEBRUARY 14 - MEDIUM HIKE: Lake Redman approximately 7-mile loop hike. If weather permitting, the hike will go through both of the Interstate 83 underpasses. The North West underpass is long, narrow and about 5ft in height. Both underpasses have water flowing through them, but there should be little water flowing through them unless a recent rain storm. If rain occurs before hike or during the hike, the hike may not go through the underpasses. Terrain is steep in a number of areas with rocky trail. Bring hiking boots lunch, snacks, water, and appropriate outerwear for the weather. Meet 10 AM at the South parking lot located at
Vo-Tec (York

FEBRUARY 12-16 AWAY WEEKEND: We will play in the snow in the Endless Mts. once again, which means hiking, sledding, skiing, snowball battles snow angles, anything your heart desires with snow. Give Jim or Joyce Hooper a call or e-mail (717) 252-3784

FEBRUARY 20 - SHORT HIKE: We will be hiking from the Tateosian residence heading east this time for a different trail. There will be a little road walking but we will get into the woods as soon as possible. Plan to stay for refreshments afterwards. If we have 20 inches of snow wear your parka and bring your dog sled and huskies. Or you could call and see if there is a hike in spite of bad weather. Meet at
Vo-Tec (York
County High School of Technology) at 1:30 PM or at Tateos home at 1:45. Leader: Sarah Tateosian 717-741-2652. No fee.
FEBRUARY 21 - AT WORK HIKE: Work includes chainsaw work, cutting briars at the power line and shelter clean up. Meet at 8:30 AM at the
North

FEBRUARY 28 - SHORT HIKE: Meet at Boscov's East Parking
lot, off of (Rt. 24), Mt. Zion RD. at 1:30 PM, or at High Point Park at 2:00 to enjoy this 6-mile hike. The hike will take us thru 3 County Parks, all of which have views of the Susquehanna River, on the Mason Dixon Trail. The Parks are High Point, the Native Land Heritage, and Kline Run Park. The terrain will be hard road, medium hills, mowed pasture, and woodlands. We will be going by Shanks Mere if anyone cares to shop near end of hike. Wear good warm shoes/boots, clothing. Bring a snack and some water.

FEBRUARY 28 - LONG HIKE: 10.5 mile loop in Michaux State Forest on the Flat Rock Trail, Rocky Knob Trail, the AT and some dirt forest roads. Some of the footing is rocky, there is a stream crossing, and there are two 500-ft. climbs. Good boots recommended. Bring lunch, water and snack. Meet at
