All are welcome to come on out on a hike to see what the club is all about.

 

A welcome sheet is handed out at every hike.  This sheet has all you need to join and get on the mailing list.

APRIL 1- A.T. Work Trip - Exact task will depend on weather, what we get accomplished in the March work trip and how many show up. Boundary painting, repair of the picnic table at the shelter, building the final part of the blue trail, general cleanup of the trail and chain sawing are possibilities. Work available for all levels of ability. Meet at the
North End meeting place next to Rutter's Store at 8:30 A.M. Bring work gloves, boots and lunch. No car pool fee. If you have any questions contact Jim Hooper at 252-3784. 

APRIL 7 - Saturday- Short/Medium - 6 mile hike on winding country road between Krall Town and Detters Mill. Meet at
Adams Electric Co. at 9:00. Bring water and a snack. Hike fee $1.50. Hike leader: Frank Phipps (717) 818-8035.

APRIL 8-Easter - No Hike

APRIL 15 - JPJ Flower Weekend - Covered Dish - Bring your favorite dish, place setting and drink. John Seville will start the hike at 10 AM and lunch will be about 1:30 PM.


APRIL 21 - Saturday-Short/Medium -  4-5 miles of hiking on dirt roads through the farmlands of Brogueville. Some hills. Meet at York
Vo-Tech at 1:30 p.m. Car pool fee .75 cents. Hike Leaders Keith & Ellen Wolf. Phone 717-767-6699.


APRIL 22 - Short Hike - Easy 3 to 4 mile hike on country roads in Longstown Area. One long downhill and a few rolling hills. Treats and drink at my home afterwards. Meet at
Boscov's East Parking lot at 1 PM or my home at 1:45 PM. Car pool fee .50. Hike Leader Joan Overall. Phone 755-5240.


APRIL 22 - Long Hike - A 9.1 mile section of the Mason Dixon starting at Wago & Gut Rd. and ending at Wild Cat Falls. Mostly dirt and some hard road. Some of it follows the Susquehanna River. We will meet at
Boscov's East Parking lot (close to the Texas Roadhouse) at 8:30 A.M. The Car Pool fee is $2.50. Wear suitable shoes or boots and bring lunch and water. Hike leader: Joan Fitzpatrick - 717-840-1101.


APRIL 23 -_Board Meeting 7:00 pm at Gwen Loose’s house.


APRIL 29 - Medium Hike - A joint YHC and Batona Hike: A hike in Chester County. We walk along a country lane by a quiet brook to a covered bridge and seven(7) glorious, ARDUOUS miles of hills. Meet at the
Vo-Tech parking lot at 10:30 AM. Cost: $1.00 to the Brandywine Conservancy and $5.00 contribution to the car pool driver. Leaders: Allen & Lore Britton 717-741-0624.

MAY 4 -6 Away Weekend - Hike on the Susquehannock Trail on Saturday and Sunday. Stay in the Frosty Hollow Bed and Breakfast. One room left. Contact Jim and Joyce Hooper-252-3784.

SIGN UP: Mason Dixon hike leaders needed. An easy job - hikes are already planned out for you. Short, medium and long hikes, and easy to difficult terrains are available. Contact: Joyce Hooper at (717) 252-3784. 


THURSDAY TRAIL WORK: A group gets together every Thursday to do trail work. If you care to join in, call Ron Gray at 717-244-8040 or Jim Hooper at 717-252-03784 for information.

  From I-83 exit 16, take Queen St (PA-74) south for about 1 mile.  At Campbell Music, turn left onto Oak St.  Drive about a tenth of a mile and stop at the stop sign; do not turn right.  Drive straight ahead past the township building to the small building in the middle of the field.
