All are welcome to come on out on a hike to see what the club is all about.
A welcome sheet is handed out at every hike. This sheet has all you need to join and get on the mailing list.

for this 2018 year.
ATC Representative Needed: Involves two meetings a year. One meeting is usually in October and is one day long. The other one is usually in April and involves a Saturday and a Sunday at a retreat. You get to meet other folks from the AT clubs and you learn about the AT and its administration. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 3 - LONG HIKE (10 MILES): We’ll wander in Michaux State Forest near Caledonia State Park enjoying the fall colors around the Chambersburg Reservoir, following Rocky Knob Trail, the Appalachian Trail and perhaps a few new ones. Trip back to York will include a stop at the Thirsty Farmer in Biglerville to enjoy their home brews and locally sourced menu. Visit their website and plan to join us.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (TIME CHANGE DAY) - SHORT HIKE (4.523 MILES): We will be exploring the area of Penn State and York College campuses. It will be a leisurely hike with some hill climbs, interesting back alleys and great city views.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10 – MEDIUM HIKE (8 MILES): We will be hiking a section of the AT, over Cove Mountain and down towards Duncannon. A few climbs up and down Cove Mountain and a view at Hawk Rock.

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 17 - AT TRAIL MAINTENANCE: We will be doing trail maintenance or boundary work on the AT. Meet at the

End meeting place Exit 24 route 83 Park and ride Lot N/E Corner at 8:30 AM. Sturdy shoes, lunch, water, gloves. Call Tom Morley to let him know if you plan on coming so we have the right equipment. 717 825 6712 or

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18 - MEMBERS ONLY ANNUAL TURKEY DINNER AND HIKE: Annual dues must be paid before the dinner. Tim Schmidt will take you on a morning hike up and down the hills to help you work up an appetite. Meal served at 1:30 PM, hot cider and cookies at 1:00 PM. You must sign up in advance for the meal. We will need THREE turkeys, three pots of mashed potatoes (approx.. 5 pounds each), three pots of sweet potatoes (approx. 3 pounds each), stuffing, cranberries, 2 to 3 kinds of vegetables, rolls, butter, desserts, cider and cookies. Please call with your reservations and find out what you can bring. We always need folks to set up and clean up.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 25 - LONG HIKE (10 MILES): We will hike the AT starting at Pine Grove Furnace and end at Sheet Iron Roof Road. There is a good climb to start us off and then some ups and downs along the way. Wear good hiking shoes/boots. Bring lunch, snacks and water.
